Columnist Les Leyne entirely misses what Jason Kenney is about when he claims the United Conservative Party platform is about revenge. Revenge is about assuaging one’s anger over an attack. The UCP’s plans to retaliate against British Columbia for blocking the proposed pipeline are simply rational, strategic actions to change the B.C. government’s mind.

These sanctions will allow Premier John Horgan to make an honourable withdrawal from a position perhaps forced on him by his Green allies, one not supported by most British Columbians, all the while blaming Alberta for it.
