I never seem to remember that the intersection of Cedar Hill Cross Road and Shelbourne Street is blocked by construction.
You can't drive through and it's a pain turning left onto Shelbourne. There are lots of ways for me to avoid the intersection, but I never seem to remember until it's too late.
If only someone had warned me.
So, here it is: A reader-generated map where we can warn fellow drivers throughout the capital region about traffic tie-ups caused by construction.
I've started it off with one about this intersection. Just click on the icons for more information about the construction area.
All you have to do to participate is share the construction zones you see around the region and email them to me (ccowan@timescolonist.com) and I'll add them to the map. Or you can leave the info in the comments section below.
I will add them all, no matter how big or small.
Save the map to your computer or mobile device and you'll be cleverly avoiding traffic snarls all summer.
