Today, we answer those who want a way to quickly sign in to their website account to avoid the dreaded popup.
It's here:
It's right there under the flag in red. Look up there right now and you'll see it.
Click on that and the sign-in screen will appear. When and where you want it to. This will be true whether you are on your home computer, your tablet, at a friend's or . . . well, you get the point.
Stay signed in on that computer and you should avoid popups interrupting you when you are trying to read a news story to which you have already subscribed.
(Yes, I know many of you would prefer there be no sign-in, no popup and no subscription. That's not going to happen. But this is a wish I can grant.)
