West Shore RCMP are investigating after someone broke into a Colwood home during daylight hours and sexually assaulted a woman.
Police said the attacker was not known to the woman. No description of the person was available.

The assault happened Wednesday in a home near Sooke and Metchosin roads. The neighbourhood was canvassed with help from a police dog.
“We want to remind everyone to take the regular safety precautions of locking your doors regardless of whether you are home or not, and report any suspicious activity immediately,” said West Shore RCMP Const. Nancy Saggar.
