Victoria police arrested a woman early Wednesday after a report that someone had broken a window at a downtown business and was in the process of stealing merchandise.
Police were called about 4:30 a.m. to the business in the 500 block of Johnson Street, between Government and Wharf streets, and spotted a woman leaving the area in possession of stolen items.
She faces a charge of breaking-and-entering, and also has a warrant for failure to comply with probation conditions.
