Witnesses sought after early-morning stabbing on Johnson Street

Victoria police are looking for witnesses after a stabbing early Thursday on Johnson Street, near Blanshard Street. Officer were called to a supportive-housing facility about 2 a.m. and found the victim at the building’s front entrance.

Victoria police are looking for witnesses after a stabbing early Thursday on Johnson Street, near Blanshard Street.

Officer were called to a supportive-housing facility about 2 a.m. and found the victim at the building’s front entrance.

He had potentially life-threatening injuries so police gave him first aid, including applying bandages. B.C. Ambulance Service paramedics transported the man to hospital.

The man’s injuries are no longer considered life-threatening.

Police learned that the stabbing took place in the 900-block of Pandora Avenue some time before they were called. The victim walked to the supportive-housing facility.
