Wind sidelines B.C. Ferries sailings Friday morning

Southeast winds of up to 75 kilometres an hour Friday morning sidelined a number of B.C. Ferries sailings, but the conditions eased and everything was back on track by early afternoon. The cancellations began with the 9 a.m.

Southeast winds of up to 75 kilometres an hour Friday morning sidelined a number of B.C. Ferries sailings, but the conditions eased and everything was back on track by early afternoon.

The cancellations began with the 9 a.m. sailing from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen, and the return trip. Also cancelled were the 10:15 a.m. sailing from Tsawwwassen to Duke Point, and the return trip.

A couple of sailings on the Quadra Island to Cortes Island route were also canceled.
