Victoria police are looking for witnesses after a man was attacked while intervening in an assault on a youth last week.

Officers were called to Wharf Street near Yates Street about 9 p.m. May 10 to deal with a report of a fight involving four or more people. They found a youth who had been assaulted and had non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers are asking for additional information and would like to speak with the man who intervened.

Call Victoria police at 250-995-7654, extension 1, or report anonymously at Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) with any information.
