Victoria police find stolen goods while investigating squatters on View Street

Victoria police are hoping to return stolen goods found while they were investigating a report of squatters in a building due for demolition. Police went to the View Street building May 15 and found a man and woman with the items.

Victoria police are hoping to return stolen goods found while they were investigating a report of squatters in a building due for demolition.

Police went to the View Street building May 15 and found a man and woman with the items. They were arrested for breaking-and-entering and possession of stolen property.

The woman began showing signs of an opioid overdose during the investigation and was taken to hospital.

Among the items located are TaylorMade golf clubs, Dewalt and Stihl power tools, Arc’teryx jackets, cellphones and a MacBook Pro. A replica firearm, knives and a machete were also found.
