29 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in B.C., 3 additional deaths

Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says there have been 29 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in B.C. in the past 24 hours.

There are now 1,203 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in B.C.

That includes 76 in the Island Health region — up two from Friday. There are 554 cases in Vancouver Coastal Health, 424 in Fraser Health, 128 in Interior Health and 21 in Northern Health.

There are 704 people that the government considers to have fully recovered.

Three additional deaths were reported Saturday, bringing the total in B.C. to 38.

Of those who have tested positive for the disease, 704 have recovered, Henry said.
