The B.C. Coroners Service is providing some more information on the four people killed in last week’s float plane crash on Addenbroke Island, but says their names will not be released.

The Cessna 208 Caravan, with nine people on board, was bound for a fishing lodge in Hakai Pass on July 26 before crashing about 11 a.m.

The pilot, who was identified by family as Allen McBain, and three passengers were killed in the crash.

The Coroners Service said the passengers killed were a man in his 40s from South Carolina, a man in his 60s from Germany, and a man in his 70s from Washington state. Their names will not be revealed due to provincial privacy legislation.

Five others on board the Seair Seaplane aircraft were injured.

The Transportation Safety Board has investigators at the crash site, about 100 kilometres north of Port Hardy.
