The arrest of the 30-year-old man May 10 followed a search carried out by the West Shore RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit at a residential Langford property on Moyes Road, near Treanor Avenue.

A man is facing numerous drug-trafficking charges after the West Shore RCMP Drug and Organized Crime Unit carried out four search warrants in a single day.

Officers executed warrants on two vehicles, a View Royal apartment and a Central Saanich townhouse on Feb. 18, and discovered cash and an array of drugs that included methamphetamine, ketamine, LSD, cocaine, Xanax and psilocybin (magic mushrooms).

The warrants came after the unit conducted covert surveillance of the apartment and determined drugs were being sold from it.

“Drug enforcement is a key priority in keeping our communities safe and we will continue to bolster our efforts in this area,” said Staff Sgt. Raj Sandhu.

Kevin Parsons, 29, has been charged with five counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
