Three men arrested in Sooke drug-trafficking investigation

Police arrested three men from Sooke: A 32-year-old man was arrested May 11 when his Maple Avenue South home was raided. He is facing charges of trafficking cocaine and possession of cocaine for trafficking.

A 31-year-old man arrested that same day is facing charges of trafficking heroin/fentanyl and possession of heroin/fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. A 52-year-old arrested Wednesday and is charged with trafficking heroin/fentanyl and possession of heroin/fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.

All three men have been released on a promise to appear in court on July 24.

“This success of this project and the arrest of these suspects show the community of Sooke how the local detachment is working hard to arrest local drug traffickers,” said Sooke RCMP detachment commander Staff Sgt. Jeff McArthur.

The investigation continues and police expect more charges and arrests to come in the future.
