Three people were arrested after Campbell River RCMP responded to reports of shots fired early Monday.
Officers responded to Quinsam Road about 3:35 a.m. to find three people walking in the area. One was in possession of a semi-automatic pistol.
A 23-year-old woman, a 20-year-old man and 26-year-old man were taken into custody.
Police seized several firearms for public safety purposes.
“At this point there is not an indication that any person was targeted with the late-night shooting,” said Const. Maury Tyre.
The investigation continues.
