Sunshine and temperatures in the high teens are expected for the popular annual event that coincides with Father’s Day.

Organized by the Downtown Victoria Business Association, it regularly attracts as many as 35,000 people to enjoy music, food and a variety of vendors, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Car Free YYJ extends from Chatham to Courtenay streets.

Victoria Coun. Laurel Collins said she is looking forward to the gathering. “I personally am really excited because I love seeing so many people out, taking over the streets.” She said it provides “incredible ways for our community to come together and connect” and can get people thinking about shifting transportation modes.
