Thieves are drilling into vehicle fuel tanks to steal gas, say North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP.
Individuals and vehicle dealerships have been targeted, police said, and the damage requires costly repairs.
Businesses hit in recent months include Island Ford, Toyota Duncan and Galaxy Motors.
