Victoria police are searching for a suspect after a reportedly impaired driver rammed a police vehicle and injured an officer.
The incident happened Sunday in a parking lot in the 3100 block of Douglas Street, near Mayfair Shopping Centre, when the officer responded to call about a driver who appeared to be going in and out of consciousness.
As the officer arrived, the driver woke up and tried to flee, hitting the police vehicle in the process. The officer in the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was not able to return to work.
