Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who is a suspect in a $25,000 credit-card fraud.

Police have released a surveillance photo of the man, who is alleged to have taken out a credit card and a line of credit in someone else’s name, then racked up the charges.

Both the card and line of credit were obtained Sept. 19 at the Bank of Montreal at 6908 Island Highway North.

The victim was unaware of what had happened until the bank contacted him. Police recently obtained surveillance video from the bank.

Call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 with any information.
