Wishart Elementary School had a brief “hold-and-secure” session Wednesday due to a police-related incident nearby.

Wishart Elementary School had a brief “hold-and-secure” session Wednesday due to a police-related incident nearby.

Sooke School District superintendent Scott Stinson said he didn’t know what the police situation entailed, but said the district was advised by West Shore RCMP that something was happening.

Students were called inside just before noon and kept there for only about 15 minutes.

A school hold-and-secure means the exterior doors are locked and activity inside carries on as normal.
