One person was taken to hospital with “life-altering” injuries after their scooter was struck by a vehicle.
Victoria police are investigating what they described as a “serious collision” at Bay and Quadra streets on Wednesday evening.
Officers were called about 5:30 p.m. after a vehicle collided with a gas-powered scooter. Police said the vehicle driver was making a left-hand turn onto Bay Street when the car collided with a scooter travelling southbound on Quadra Street.
The scooter driver was taken to hospital with injuries described as life-altering but not life-threatening.
The intersection reopened about 8 p.m.
