A safe containing an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from a Nanaimo service station, then found empty in Lantzville the next day.
Nanaimo RCMP said the safe went missing during a break-and-enter about 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 8 at the Gas N Go located at 5800 Turner Rd.
Surveillance video from the business showed a white Ram 1500 single-cab, long-box pickup being driven slowly through the parking lot just before the break-in. Moments later, a male is seen prying the door open and running inside.
