Saanich police release images in connection with sexual assault on transit bus

Saanich police are investigating a sexual assault on a B.C. Transit bus last week.

Police said the incident happened Sept. 10 on the No. 39 bus after it left the University of Victoria Exchange about 1:40 p.m. They said a suspect approached a woman and committed a sexual assault.

Both exited the bus just after 2 p.m. at the Royal Oak Exchange. The woman was briefly followed by the suspect.

She was not physically injured, police said.

The suspect is described as Black, 20 to 30 years old and five-foot-11 with a medium build. He was wearing a skater-style hat, a long-sleeved shirt and black pants and had a dark-coloured backpack.
