Saanich police are investigating a number of unprovoked assaults over the past year by a man who did not know his victims.

They have identified a man in his 30s believed to be responsible to some of the assaults, but are still looking for victims and witnesses from two incidents.

One of the incidents happened June 12 between 10:30 and 11 p.m. at the Esso gas station at McKenzie Avenue and Shelbourne Street. The other was also on June 12 and happened about 11 p.m. around Shelbourne and Kenmore Road.

“If you were the victim of either of these assaults, we understand that this might be difficult for you, however we are here to support you and will work with you through the process,” said Saanich police Const. Markus Anastasiades.

Call Saanich police at 250-475-4321 with any information.
