Saanich crews quickly controlled a small brush fire on Christmas Hill Wednesday afternoon, the latest in a number of recent blazes in the area.
The fire was reported about 4: 30 p.m., said a spokesperson for the Saanich Fire Department. People were seen in the vicinity, but a cause has not yet been determined.
A fire investigator was on the scene early Wednesday evening.
