RCMP and fire departments in Campbell River responded to a suspicious fire about 3 p.m. Monday at a home that had been unoccupied for some time.
There had been recent reports of squatters entering and leaving the residence on 8th Avenue.
Police watched the site overnight Monday and fire investigators were scheduled to arrive today.
