A suspicious package found at Victoria General Hospital has been destroyed by the RCMP bomb squad.
West Shore RCMP said the Vancouver-based team determined the package was not an explosive.
The scene is now clear, police said.
Hospital activity was not suspended during the incident, though people were advised to avoid the south side of the building bordered by Hospital Way.
