Pricey e-bike stolen from Belgian couple’s motorhome in Nanaimo

A honeymooning couple from Belgium hit a speed bump on their B.C. trip when their expensive electric bike was stolen in Nanaimo.

The couple went for a hike to explore Colliery Dam Park around 2 p.m. on June 8 and returned to their motorhome about an hour and a half later to find their $15,000 e-bike gone. The lock the couple used to secure the bike to the back of the motorhome had been cut and was lying on the ground.

Nanaimo RCMP don’t know the make and model of the bike yet, but are expecting a call from the couple with more information.
