Nanaimo RCMP seized what they believed are stolen tools after a report of a parked vehicle with a woman who appeared to be slumped over in the driver’s seat.

They were called to the scene in south Nanaimo about 7 a.m. June 26. Officers woke the woman and determined she was not in medical distress before turning to the tools in the back seat of the black Chevrolet Cobalt.

There were a battery-powered Ryobi pressure washer, a Stihl weed whacker and a Black and Decker blower/vacuum.

The woman did not have a reasonable explanation for the tools being there, police said, and was soon joined by two men who also seemed unsure of where they came from.

The car had three different sizes of wheels and tires, including one bald tire, so it was deemed unsafe and towed away.

Call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 with any information.
