Police seek suspect in alleged assault on girl, 16

West Shore RCMP are looking for a suspect in the alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl on the Galloping Goose trail in Langford. The victim told police she was walking on the trail around 1 p.m.

West Shore RCMP are looking for a suspect in the alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl on the Galloping Goose trail in Langford.

The victim told police she was walking on the trail around 1 p.m. on July 9 near Sooke Road and Happy Valley Road when she was approached by a man asking for directions. The man shook her hand and pulled her towards him. He kissed the girl on the neck before she was able to push him away. The suspect thanked the girl and left.

The man is described as East Indian between 20-30 years old, with an East Indian accent. He was weary a dark, puffy jacket, dark jeans and a dark T-shirt and riding a bicycle at the time of the assault.
