Victoria police are seeking witnesses after a Friday night assault that left a man with life-altering injuries.
The victim was walking through Bastion Square sometime between 8 and 10 p.m. when he was approached by a group of about 10 youths. A female youth with blond hair threw a cup of water on him, then he was then hit from behind by an unknown person and was badly hurt.
He was taken to hospital by paramedics.
