Police investigating stabbing in Beacon Hill Park

Victoria police are investigating a stabbing in Beacon Hill Park on Tuesday morning. Several people called 911 after hearing a man’s cries for help about 6 a.m.

Victoria police are investigating a stabbing in Beacon Hill Park on Tuesday morning.

Several people called 911 after hearing a man’s cries for help about 6 a.m.

Officers went to an area on the Cook Street side of the park and found the man, who had been camping in the park. He told police he had been stabbed, but refused to provide more detail.

The man was taken to hospital with injuries described by police as non-life threatening.

Officers were in the area for several hours as they conducted a search for the assailant. The incident remains under investigation.
