Victoria police safely destroyed a suspicious device found in James Bay on Friday afternoon.
Officers were called to Dallas Road and Menzies Street, near Holland Point Park, around noon after someone found a pipe in the grass with what appeared to be a fuse sticking out of it.
Officers determined the device was suspicious and set up containment measures around it. Members of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team applied a charge to the device, destroying it.
