Police and the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating after a drowning Monday night at Canoe Cove Marina.
Sidney/North Saanich RCMP, contacted about 10:30 p.m., were told by witnesses a man had fallen into the water and did not resurface.
A search located the man in about 15 feet of water. Officers were able to get the man onto the dock and started first-aid measures right away.
B.C. Ambulance paramedics also attempted to revive the man, but he was declared dead at the scene.
The cause of death is not considered suspicious, police said.
