Oak Bay police are investigating what they are calling “an interrupted break and enter” after an intruder was chased from a house on the weekend.
Police said they received a report of a break-in in progress at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.
A 53-year-old man woke up to discover someone in the home. The man chased the intruder from the house and called police.
Officers, including a dog unit and forensic specialists, went to the house, but no arrests have been made, and the man was not able to describe the intruder to police.
No other similar reports have been made in the area. The investigation continues.
