An Oak Bay construction site was hit twice by criminals within a week, with the first break-in May 3 netting 30 metres of copper wire, a Dewalt charger, batteries and several two-way radios.

A section of temporary fencing had been moved and a keyhole had been tampered with to gain access to the site on Cadboro Bay Road, near Foul Bay Road.

Oak Bay police were called Sunday to the same location, where a commercial complex is being built, after copper pipes were taken.

The police investigation is ongoing.
