This week's heavy snowfall is having a serious impact on the delivery of the Times Colonist, so we have opened our e-edition — a digitial replica of the printed paper — to everyone.
The e-edition is normally only available to print subscribers and by direct subscription.
Many side streets are in terrible condition and deliveries have not been possible. Snow on streets and sidewalks continues to hamper delivery. Uncleared sidewalks can easily double the time it takes a carrier to complete a route, if the route can be delivered at all.
The snowfall has also had an impact on our staff. Several employees who help deliver newspapers have been unable to get to work, and some who normally answer telephones were also forced to stay away, and that has resulted in longer than normal delays in answering calls.
Deliveries up-Island have also been seriously affected.
If you did not recieve your printed Times Colonist today, please use the e-edition. If it does not work right away, refresh your browser.
There is also a link to the e-edition on our website. Click menu, which will bring up a list of sections. You will find e-edition on that list.
We're sorry for any inconvenience this has caused, and thank you for support!
