New Nanaimo-Ladysmith MP Paul Manly will officially open his constituency office on Monday.

The 11 a.m. event will take place at 103-495 Dunsmuir Rd. in Nanaimo.

The Green Party MP’s office will be open to the public Tuesdays to Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Fridays by appointment only from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Manly won the seat, previously held by the NDP, in a May byelection. His success doubled the size of the Green Party’s representation in Ottawa from one to two. He has joined Green Party Leader Elizabeth May, who represents Saanich-Gulf Islands, in the House of Commons.

He will be fighting again shortly to defend his seat. The next federal election set for Oct. 21.
