Nanaimo RCMP are looking for the owner of a mountain bike recovered downtown.
Officers took the green Giant mountain bike on Oct. 8 from an individual who is known to be involved in property-related crime. After a discussion with the man, police decided to take the bike and attempt to find the owner.
Police have run the serial number against reported thefts and the bike has not been reported stolen. Officers also asked local bike shops who sell the brand and were told none of the businesses had recently sold this model.
Anyone with information about the bike’s owner can call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
