Nanaimo RCMP were kept busy Sunday and Monday, responding to four break-and-enters around the city.
The string of cases included the Blush Medi Spa, which was broken into between 6:30 p.m. Sunday and 9:30 a.m. Monday. The salon’s main door was shattered with a blunt object, and an iPad and cosmetics were taken.
Also hit overnight Sunday was Mostar Mini Storage. Video surveillance shows three people associated with a black truck or SUV taking items. At least four lockers were broken into, and the only things known to be taken were kayak paddles, a life-jacket and green propane bottles.
At 7 a.m. Monday, an employee of Supreme Self Storage reported several people had broken into the compound and then fled into a nearby swamp. A police dog could not locate them.
The items taken included two skill saws, an Igloo cooler and a ladder.
Finally, there was a break-and-enter overnight Monday at a B.C. government building, where a ground-floor window was smashed.
At least seven Thinkbooks were stolen.
