Mistaken spray-painting report leads to drug-trafficking arrest

An erroneous report of a man spray-painting vehicles in a Treanor Avenue parking lot led to an arrest for drug trafficking. West Shore RCMP pulled over a 34-year-old Langford man as he was leaving the lot about 10:15 p.m. Saturday.

An erroneous report of a man spray-painting vehicles in a Treanor Avenue parking lot led to an arrest for drug trafficking. West Shore RCMP pulled over a 34-year-old Langford man as he was leaving the lot about 10:15 p.m. Saturday. Officers confirmed he was spray-painting only the door of his pickup, but also noticed items consistent with drug trafficking in his truck. Also found were a replica firearm and a collapsible baton. — Times Colonist
