Comox Valley RCMP are continuing to investigate the disappearance of 58-year-old Stephen Mapes.
The case was initially being dealt with by Surrey RCMP, but was transferred to the Comox Valley detachment when it was determined that Mapes had travelled to Courtenay. He was last seen on March 27.
His family is concerned because it is unlike him to be out of touch for so long.
Mapes is described as white and six-feet tall, with a slim build. He has short grey hair and blue eyes.
He is associated with a black Ford F-150 pickup truck with B.C. licence DOGRVR.
