A driver crashed a minivan into a parked car and the front steps of a View Royal home before driving off on Monday.
West Shore RCMP responded to the hit and run near the 200 block of the Island Highway, between View Royal Avenue and Helmcken Road, about 10:15 p.m.

The homeowner told police the driver backed away from the house and drove away westbound on Island Highway.
Police patrolled the area but did not find the vehicle, described as a silver or grey minivan with a licence plate that might begin with JT9. It had heavy front-end damage and possibly broken windows.
