Man wanted for breaking into Nanaimo daycare

Nanaimo RCMP are asking for help tracking down a man who broke into a daycare centre. A caretaker and an employee at the Jolly Jumper Daycare at 1135 Dufferin Cres. were opening up about 8 a.m.

Nanaimo RCMP are asking for help tracking down a man who broke into a daycare centre.

A caretaker and an employee at the Jolly Jumper Daycare at 1135 Dufferin Cres. were opening up about 8 a.m. Monday when they noticed the centre’s cash box had been moved. About the same time, the two heard a noise from the centre’s second floor.

Moments later, the pair witnessed a man jumping out of a window and running away. The caretaker snapped a picture of him before he fled. Officers attended but were unable to locate a suspect.

Police ask anyone with information on this incident to call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
