Man's body found in North Cowichan's Stoney Hill Regional Park

The body found about three metres below a lookout on a Cowichan Valley trail has been identified as a 47-year-old Duncan man. Foul play is not suspected in the death. The man’s name was not revealed.

The body found about three metres below a lookout on a Cowichan Valley trail has been identified as a 47-year-old Duncan man.

Foul play is not suspected in the death. The man’s name was not revealed.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP were called to the Stoney Hill Road Trail about 2 p.m. Sunday after the body was reported.

The B.C. Coroners Office is conducting an investigation.

The trail is in North Cowichan’s Stoney Hill Regional Park, with views of Sansum Narrows and Salt Spring Island.
