A Comox man is in hospital after being crushed under his camper trailer.
Emergency Health Services responded to the call in the 500-block of Anderton Road in Comox on Monday. Naomi Joy said her partner was helping a 55-year-old neighbour who lives in his camper trailer set the unit up on mounting legs when a leg collapsed.
The neighbour was trapped underneath, Joy said on a fundraising page. Joy’s partner helped him out from under the trailer, but the neighbour suffered serious injuries.
Joy has started a fundraiser on Facebook to collect money for the victim, whose trailer was totalled in the accident, leaving him without a warm bed as winter approaches.
