Victoria police are asking for witnesses after a man in a wheelchair was assaulted by another man downtown.
Police said a man in an electric wheelchair “made contact” with another man at Yates and Douglas streets on Sunday afternoon and an altercation ensued. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers want to speak to anyone who saw the incident, which took place between 1:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m., or can help identify the assailant. Anyone with information is asked to call Victoria police at 250-995-7654.
