A man is facing multiple charges after Victoria police spotted a stolen vehicle at a short-term rental building in the 100 block of Gorge Road East.

The vehicle was parked Friday with all of its windows down, which was deemed suspicious by officers. They checked the licence plates and determined they were stolen, then watched the vehicle and arrested a Victoria man when he returned to it.

A search found stolen property, including credit cards, weapons and drugs packaged for sale. The vehicle turned out to be stolen, as well.

The items found linked the man to a Jan. 11 break-and-enter and theft at a multi-unit residential building in the 400 block of Quebec Street.

Recommended charges include drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of credit cards and breaking-and-entering.
