Man dies while cycling on trail near Cumberland

The B.C. Coroners service is investigating the death of a man found unresponsive on a hiking trail near the village of Cumberland. The Cumberland man, in his early 60s, was found Tuesday on the Blockhead Trail, CHEK News reported.

The Cumberland man, in his early 60s, was found Tuesday on the Blockhead Trail, CHEK News reported. He was last seen riding ahead of three other cyclists on the trial. When they caught up with him he was unresponsive.

His companions performed CPR for about 40 minutes until paramedics arrived. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s name has not been made public.
