Man arrested after surveillance video records break-in

There was no clean getaway for a man seen on surveillance video breaking into a Colwood construction site. West Shore RCMP officers were responding to a report from a security-monitoring company about 1 a.m.

The arrest of the 30-year-old man May 10 followed a search carried out by the West Shore RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit at a residential Langford property on Moyes Road, near Treanor Avenue.

There was no clean getaway for a man seen on surveillance video breaking into a Colwood construction site.

West Shore RCMP officers were responding to a report from a security-monitoring company about 1 a.m. Thursday when they heard noises from the second floor of the apartment complex being built.

A suspect was found hiding behind a bathtub.

The 40-year-old was arrested for breaking-and-entering.
