Sidney/North Saanich RCMP are investigating a break-in at Parkland Secondary School in which a ladder was used to get into the school through a skylight.
The suspects triggered an alarm about 4:15 a.m. Wednesday at the McDonald Park Road school, bringing a response from both police and security staff.
An unsuccessful attempt was made to break into an ATM, which was extensively damaged.
A police dog was brought in but no one was located.
